What streaming works in Turkey — 2026 availability list

Updated 2026-04-24
TL;DR
Lira devaluation made Turkey one of the cheapest streaming regions globally, making it the most popular VPN-arbitrage target. Netflix TR basic ~₺149.99/mo (~$3.5), Spotify Premium ₺59.99/mo (~$1.5), YouTube Premium ₺57.99/mo, Apple Music ₺34.99/mo — all far below US. But Netflix/Spotify etc. have hardened anti-arbitrage in recent years: payment must be a Turkish bank card or local Apple ID. Local platforms BluTV and exxen (Acun Medya) are home to TR originals. HBO Max content is partially licensed via BluTV; direct subscription via Sky in some channels. Disney+ TR exited in 2024, with some Disney content migrated to BluTV.

Tips
Turkey is the most popular VPN-arbitrage target, but platforms are hardening: Netflix forces region change after extended non-TR logins; Spotify requires a TR-IP login within 14 days or auto-reverts. Payment method is the key — must be a Turkish Apple ID (top up via gift cards) or TR virtual card (e.g. papara) to stay stable. Prefer Istanbul nodes with Türk Telekom/Vodafone TR residential IPs; datacenter detection is high. Note Turkey's RTUK occasionally issues temp block orders against Twitter/Wikipedia (happened 2017/2020/2023) — VPN out is needed to bypass.
