What streaming works in Singapore — 2026 availability list
Updated 2026-04-24
TL;DR
Singapore is Southeast Asia's licensing hub — most international services launch here first, then roll out to Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand. Netflix, Disney+ (using the 'Disney+ Hotstar' variant in SEA), Prime Video, Apple TV+ all work in full. HBO Max, Viu, meWATCH (local public-broadcaster Mediacorp) are local distinctives. Spotify has one of its APAC HQs here. English penetration is high, so most content plays in original English without dubbing. What's missing: US-only Hulu, Peacock, ESPN+.

Tips
When VPNing into Singapore, prefer SG nodes on local ISPs (SingTel, StarHub, M1) residential ranges. Singapore is the publishing point for SEA regional rights — Netflix SG's catalog is similar to Malaysia and Indonesia but with subtle rights differences. Disney+ Hotstar SG accounts are NOT interchangeable with the Indian version. Singapore IPs face relatively lenient streaming detection in Asia (compared to HK's tight / KR's strict), but residential IPs are still recommended. SG pricing is mid-tier; signup is most successful with PayNow or a Singapore credit card.
