What streaming works in Italy — 2026 availability list
Updated 2026-04-24
TL;DR
Italy's streaming market revolves around Sky Italia (NowTV) — locally dominant, holding many cinema rights plus partial Serie A games. Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV+ all have IT versions. Paramount+ ships via SkyShowtime in some EU markets, but Italy has its own standalone Paramount+. MUBI has solid IT art-house share. What's missing: US Hulu, Peacock (both US-only). BBC iPlayer is not available; BritBox hasn't launched in Italy.

Tips
When VPNing into Italy, prefer Milan or Rome nodes on Italian ISPs (TIM, Vodafone IT, Fastweb, WindTre) residential ranges. Sky Italia and NowTV signup requires an Italian address + Italian credit card or PayPal IT — overseas cards are rarely accepted. DAZN Serie A signup also needs an IT address. F1 TV IS available standalone in Italy (unlike France). Note that Italian consumer law enforces strict auto-renew rules; Sky/CANAL+-style subscriptions take more steps to cancel than in the US.
